Did someone Customize their Russian SKS with a Fab Defence Chassis + the Matador Arms SKS scope mount + SKS Magwell Adapter….. Waiting for my PAL to arrive and I been thinking about this lil project of mine. I been looking all over YouTube but couldn’t find one video or built on the internet. Is it like a Packer Punch weapon or Taboo build in the SKS FAMILY ? Waiting for yall opinion… don’t be scared. WE LISTEN AND WE DONT JUDGE !!!

Has it been done? Yeah a ton.

That magwell install isn’t plug and play. I’d recommend watching their video on the install before going through with the purchase.

Besides that you will need to notch the FAB defence stock for your optic rail but that’s pretty trivial.

Second this. Modifying the receiver for the mag-well is not super easy.

I almost did the same but ended up keeping my SKS unbubba’d. Trust me, do that; they’re beautiful rifles if you get a nice one. If you need to scratch the pistol mag itch, Makasi and Carmel will be in soon.

I pretty much did this to my Chinese SKS minus the magwell cuz it requires a lot more work than I want to do. You can check out what I did on my previous posts.

However, I only did it because I wanted a "tactical" semi auto rifle when nothing else was available. The next SKS I get will be left unbubba'd.

Warning in the top rails, every sks ejects different and sometimes (like mine) it just won’t jive with the rail.

I had 1/3 casings bouncing back down and jamming the bolt, just the way it goes.

Had the fab, be careful with the gas tube cover the screws strip easy, and it might need some filing to fit with the stock

As an alternative, the OP may want to try a long eye relief optic with a rear site block optic mount. Neumann Metalworks has a local Canadian made one for sale.

I did similar, just different manufacturers for everything. ATI stock, Hi-Cal mag adapter, Magwedge pic rail.

How are you liking the mag adapter? Does it cycle well? If not for the rail could you full stripper clips?

I personally don’t like modding SKS’s that often, for I think it’s hideous. That said, if it’s your rifle, who am I to tell you what to do with it. One of my friends has a Fab Defense stock, I used it, it was okay, I still prefer the wood stock with the traditional rifle configuration.

Practice with the sks with stripper clips reloading. You'll enjoy it.

Or get two, one blobba'd and one not.

I had a bad experience with fab stock. The screw socket was loosed when I got it. Took a long time to get a new one from customer service. Loosed again.
