Buy recommendations Canadian Firearms exchange
So I heard about this new website through r/canadaguns and I'm wondering if it is safe to use?

If you saw the post here then you would have seen that not too many people were enthusiastic about the site.

I'm grateful that there are always web-savvy folks here testing for half-assery.

Vibe coding is only good if you actually know what you are doing. Anyone can ask chatgpt to build them something but you better know if it's garbage or not.

"vibe coding"... 2020s version of kiddie-scripting, with 10 times the number of bad actors crawling for vulnerabilities.

Nothing of substantial worth was raised in that thread.
The only thing that can be really argued against is the third party page analytics.
The whole "admin page for etransfers" to track users is a reach. Not saying that it's not possible that things are being saved permanently, but the existence of a page that happens to mention etransfer doesn't automatically mean user tracking.
For instance, I'm implementing product alerts for Almost Prohib, which includes sending an email with a one-time code to the user. I save that code until it gets used by the user. Am I permanently tracking the user by following this code? No, I just need it to confirm the user actually owns the email. I expect that their etransfer system works the same.

Why not just stick to known and reliable retailers instead of trying to buy something from sketchygundealersrus.ca

Do you want to give that personal info to someone who vibe coded a website?

In accordance with the subreddit rules, your post/comment has been removed for the following reason:
[10] Frequently Asked Questions
New firearms owners, PAL/RPAL applicants, and those genuinely curious are asked to post their "newbie" questions in these threads.
Any questions that are considered "Recurring Frequently Asked Questions" or FAQ's will be referred here. This includes things like:
What are the pros/cons of very commonly purchased firearms? What are waiting times like for licenses/ATTs/registrations? How do I get my PAL? Is a specific, well known retailer reliable? Where can I find Crown Land in a specific area? Where can I find a range in a specific area? If you have received this as the takedown reason for your post, we invite you to try using the search bar for the subreddit. Your question has already been answered multiple times, and a simple search will provide answers.
The FAQ thread will be posted on Sunday, and will be renewed every 14 days.
