Feets / Collection / My build Recent addition. My first Boyd's stock

This Savage A22 At One followed me home a few days ago. I wanted a 22LR semi with adjustable stock for the family range days that I host. I think that this one has enough wood that most will be interested in using it. Some find more tactical looking guns less inviting.

Got it privately in new and unfired condition. Did a bit of paper punching (30 rounds) with it yesterday. Flawless cycling with Federal blue box bulk ammo.

Anybody know of a recommended break in procedure for Savage semi-autos?

I have an a22 with the thumbhole boyds at-one stock. I enjoy it. Get a few butler creek 25 round mags, which feed substantially better than the savage version. I have 4 of the savage, one feeds good, one ok, and the others are shit. Check the torque on all the assembly bolts and the scope. The one at the rear of the action is a pain in the ass, and the one most likely to be loose. Mine likes the cheap norma tac 22 ammo. For break in, buy a box of 200 whatever and shoot the shit out of it. Then clean it. It should be good for another 3-4 years between cleanings.

Thanks. I've only got 60 rounds thru it now. About 4 stovepipes/failures to eject. Do you run yours pretty dry? Pretty wet? What's your go-to lubricant for the action?
