Shitpost / Memes Is this an Anti tank round?

Post image

/s (sarcasm on title)

Went to the range with my buddy to try out my fully cleaned SKS and was having a blast with it 10/10.

He wanted to get his rifle ready to get a bear starting sept 1st. So he invites me to take the first shot from his savage 110 in 300wsm. Tells me its a bit strong like the 308win Tikka i have. So i be prepared to shoot it.

HOLY FUCK B'Y !!

Like what on God's green earth is this tf!? Buddy died laughing and i was astonished by the power this cartridge has.

Guys who shoot this, dont knock on my door please. 😭

Brought it with me as a keepsake and as a goal to master it one day.

Give 338 lapula a shot and 300 wsm is nothing.

Fired 50BMG a few times before and that’s just ridiculous but so much fun. Atleast my buddy’s 50BMG weighed 18 or 19lbs so it didn’t jump too bad and had a break on it. Wouldn’t want to shoot that in a lighter chassis without a break that’s for sure.

Just picking, I generally hate heavy recoil myself. I’ve shot many guns that kick like a mule, but my preferred calibres are 308 and 6.5 PRC for more reach in wide open country.

When I eventually get my bison draw I’ll just be using my 308. Most shots are 100yard and closer where I’ll be going.

Bruh, 308win is your preferred?? Hooolyy fuck b'y , i took my tikka t3x in 308win(first firearm ever and first one i shot) once and only once to the range and braved 10 rounds thats it. Might only be taking it out to fire one shot a year from now on as ut scared the shit out of me as well as kicked me back crazy

I grew up on 308 hunting deer in the maritimes. My old man had a Remington semi auto in 308 so I used that when he wasn’t hunting with it. It what he shot a lot of in the military in the 70s and in the RCMP in the 80s and 90s. Bought one due to having access to all the surplus FMJ he wanted and bought hunting ammo for it. We use to rip through a 30cal can full in an afternoon.

Bought mine due to it being versatile for deer through elk and moose, and due to the availability of cheap 308 for practice. Can’t wait till Labour Day weekend I have 200 rounds stacked ready to dial in my scope at my buddy’s private range. We camp right out there and spend the weekend every year. Bird season will be open, and all my fall mushrooms will be out so it’s a busy weekend of hunting, foraging, shooting and maybe some fishing too.
