Buy recommendations Buy or Pass?

Post image

Anyone buying one of these?

When the short barrel NR ones came out in .410 they were flying off the shelves and being resold for double on gunpost

People were begging for a 357/38 spl version

now we have it available

Did the .410 version leave a bad taste in everyone's mouth or something?

Probably about the closest you can get to a pistol now, and NR. They do look cool/fun but, good lever guns exist. I already have a .357 S+W stealth hunter, id be really surprised if these are better in any way.

Just picked this up for 1400$ all in. First lever action. Smith and Wesson 357 club.

Hows your s&w been? All the ones we got from this year had sticky actions that cycled poorly and i dont think in going to stock them again.

I absolutely love it. Action breaks in with use, I do occasionally get a round thats a bit sticky/doesn’t want to cycle but that’s usually only when it’s cold/first 15-20 rounds. That’s with cheap 158g PMC. Could also be operator error. Put a Timney trigger in it to get rid of the trigger wiggle, not that it was really a problem but the Timney is nicer than stock, not a crazy amount lighter but noticeable.

Thats good to know cause boy is it hard to talk a guy into them at 2k when the canuck ones are smoother on the wall from new.

I always clean/lube anything new before taking it to the range. Haven’t shot a Canuck lever but I did check one out a while back, felt really heavy but maybe it’s just me

Were they cleaned or were you just running snap caps thru em BNIB? I was lazy and didn't clean my gun when I bought it, on my 2nd range trip it started getting real sticky, I gave it a good clean and it's run mint ever since. Haven't cleaned it again yet.

We're a retailer. Even without snap caps we found the hammers catching on the bolts on almost all of the ones we had come in.
