Valuing property over human life is the problem most people are going to have with your position.

Personally I think if someone is engaging in violent crime (like, say, an armed robbery), then using lethal force is morally justified if you're unable to flee.

Belongings are things you bought with time you spent working hard. So Belongings = your Time = part of your life. And should be respected and treated as such.
