How many what-ifs are we gonna go through here? He didn't, and statistically it's an anomaly. If someone did get hurt, completely different story.

Not sure what type of "justice" you are looking for right now.

Not sure where you got that out of what I said.

Every situation is different and should be addressed accordingly. In this case a person in time of peril fired a gun and no one was injured, and the threat ended. In a fair and just society, we would take that into account and move on with our lives.

Is it a time of peril when the thiefs never entered the house though? Because of they were only in the driveway during this encounter, then I'm not sure how you could argue that your life is at risk.

If they entered the home, totally different story and shooting at them is 100% justified.

Hrmmm didn't read the part about entering the home. The impression I got was that it did some damage. I'm confident they would have mentioned a bullet entering the home if that were the case.

Again, I stand by treating every case individually.
