Tires for spalling protection.

Anyone else try this out? Using an old car tire as a spalling catcher for your steel gongs. Saves the wood of your home-made target boxes thats for sure, I don't think I had any go through even after smacking the gong a couple of times with the .308

Just a FYI. Tires will send your bullets in random directions, including back at you. They are not good for shooting at/near.

The rubber is different strengths/thickness so the bullets can deflect in seemingly random directions.
