Tires for spalling protection.

Anyone else try this out? Using an old car tire as a spalling catcher for your steel gongs. Saves the wood of your home-made target boxes thats for sure, I don't think I had any go through even after smacking the gong a couple of times with the .308

Works very well. Infact one of my ranges only allows you to use your own steel targets if you put rubber spalling protection.
