Anyone else try this out? Using an old car tire as a spalling catcher for your steel gongs. Saves the wood of your home-made target boxes thats for sure, I don't think I had any go through even after smacking the gong a couple of times with the .308

Then you can re-use the lead to balance the tire after. Good thinking 🫡
