Fix my gun Henry lever .22 H001

Post image

I’m having a firing issue with my Henry. It works occasionally but it may take 3 or 4 tries to fire a round. I think the firing pin needs to be replaced. Is there anywhere in southern Ontario along the 401 corridor that I can take this to for repairs or parts? Thanks!

Just an obvious question. Have you tried cleaning the bolt and firing pin or disassembling it to inspect the firing pin? I always make a habit of using a bit of solvent and blowing out the firing pin with compressed air on all my .22's and disassembling them completely every now and then to get the gunk out . The issue you may be describing is the same when my many .22's bolt/firing pins get residue build up. I'd try this first.

Good luck - I absolutely love my H001. It is a cool little rifle. Video below may help if you want to give a try. There is more than what you need in the video but it may point you in the right direction.

I can try cleaning it again in the morning, maybe I’ve missed something. Thank you
