Recurring Canadaguns Politics and Debate Thread

Please post all your Gun Politics or Ban-related ideas, questions, initiatives, comments, suggestions, news articles, and recommendations in this thread. This thread recurs every 14 days.

First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

I've never voted once for either of those two parties. But keep believing whatever you'd like.

Canadas economy and our standard of living is in the shitter because the LPC has been trying to control the whole Canadian economy from Ottawa and failing miserably, we need less government intervention, not more.

Get outta here with your half baked commie platitudes. Or at least say “muh late stage capitalism” so your brand is easier to identify

Buddy you don't think the government is capitalist? You don't think the fucking banker is a capitalist?

"Get outta here with your half baked commie platitudes."

Get outta here with your bullshit thinking capitalism the system that has gotten us here will magically safe us if we only change x or y this is what always happens under capitalism the rich buy the government and they become one in the same.

lol, western capitalism was responsible for the highest standard of living ever known to mankind. Canada moving away from it is what has caused the decline.

That’s a completely different issue. As if other systems have never yielded negative ecological outcomes. Even natives hunted species to extension.

"That’s a completely different issue."

Nah it's one in the same capitalism last I checked is built on endless growth to endlessly grow something has to go consequences be damned. This so called "highest standard of living" will be short lived and the consequences from it will be horrific.

"As if other systems have never yielded negative ecological outcomes."

Yeah but to this scale? I don't think so.

"Even natives hunted species to extension."

Yeah no shit but I'll tell you one thing the rate they did it at compared to the bullshit this system is doing it at well lets just say one is considerably more sustainable.

So you think if there was 20 billion people on the plane all living under communism there would be zero economic impact? Simply because of how virtuous it is? Their virtue would simply will everything they need to survive without an effect on nature?

Pretty funny tbh. Don’t you have to be an adult to use this website?

"So you think if there was 20 billion people on the plane all living under communism there would be zero economic impact?

Nah I think people would think beyond the first business quarter and go hmm maybe endlessly growing our population isn't a good idea. Maybe we should limit our population. Unlike capitalism which requires people to pump out more people for this nonsense.

"Their virtue would simply will everything they need to survive without an effect on nature?"

Now you're just making shit up because you can't actually defend the fatal flaw of capitalism.

"Pretty funny tbh. Don’t you have to be an adult to use this website?"

Nah what's funny is that you think there are only to political ideologies in the world in the form of capitalism and communism and shows that you aren't the brightest tool in the shed.
