Gun and gear reviews Safe Storage Question

Hard to say TBH. There's an argument to be said that this device constitutes as a locked/secure container as opposed to a safe and would need to have a secure locking device. Maybe Varsil will feel generous and give you a yes or no opinion lol.

Safes do not have to be anchored.

Restricted firearms, in addition to being in a locked room or container, must also have a trigger or cable lock installed during storage, transport or display.

I am not certain in this case, but I believe this is considered "easily accessible" (or at least movable) and legally would have to be anchored if not in a locked room.

Not correct.

If it’s stored in a safe and unloaded then no trigger lock is required. You can even have loaded magazines in there with it provided they aren’t inserted into the firearm. Transport requires a trigger lock.

I wouldn’t say that little box qualifies as a “safe” for that purpose though.

Real talk though: you could have it locked down like that vault from mission impossible and if somehow anything ever gets stolen you’re getting hit with careless storage and the courts are figuring it out on your dime. This is the way.
