I found I didn't need a ton of space to start reloading.. well, at least less than I expected. A small shelf and a table was enough. If you shoot a lot, or shoot a moderate amount of expensive match ammo, then it makes sense to start. Best bet is hunt the used market.
I bought a small workshop type table from princess auto (harbour freight type store in Canada) for a little over $100. But you can find guys building reloading setups in closets, so it can be done.

30-30 is one of the most economical rifle rounds to reload for, it is worth the investment if you want to shoot it a lot
