Application / Regulation advice Did any one recently updated their handgun registration?

Did anyone recently (after handgun freeze) update their handgun registration? Like changing the calibre?

Did it work out? Did you get new caliber registration?

I did. I have an Sig P226 that was originally chambered in 40 S&W.
I recently converted it to shoot 9mm (new barrel and recoil spring)
Called the CFO, let them know what I did and they updated the registration to show the new caliber.
I haven’t got a new piece of paper yet, but I checked on the RCMP website and it’s been updated.

Cool!

When did you do that? As in updating the registration?

Secondly, which process did you follow? As in link to the process to follow?

Lastly, did you need to do reverification by an official verifier?

I did it about 3 weeks ago :)

I just called into the CFO, let them know I have a handgun that I changed the caliber, gave them the firearm serial number, caliber, barrel length etc, and they said they would pass it along and make sure it’s updated.
I checked last week on the RCMP website and it now shows the correct caliber.

No recertification needed as the class of the firearm didn’t change (non restricted to restricted), only the caliber.
