Fix my gun Bolt release is not working on my a300.
I went shooting 2 days back to back, 1st day was flawless next day it happened before firing any round
I will contact Stoeger customer service but wanted to ask if someone can recommend any solution. Bold also stuck randomly between rounds.

Definitely take it fully apart, clean it and oil it, reassemble. I can ALMOST guarantee that will solve the issue. I know some people have had issues with there not being enough clearance under the bolt release to actuate it requiring filing it down, but that's clearly not what's happening here. Likely something is assembled a smidge out of place in there, or packing grease is interfering.

Yes. Strip it down and give it a good cleaning/oil - this will either fix it, or you will find the issue.

Thanks for your advice mate. When it happened on the field i did disassembled and reassembled the basic parts. And when i got home i gave it a good cleaning and lube hoping it will fix. But i just found some youtube video where they take the bolt release button out ( i didn't disassembled it previously). So hopefully that will fix the issue

Have you done your full disassembly yet including the bolt release mechanism? I'm curious to know how it went.
I'm 85% sure your shell lifter is interfering with the bolt release mechanism on the inside of the receiver. I'm still thinking this is something you can fix yourself rather than warrantying or bringing to a gunsmith to look at. Cheers mate

I have spent quite some time with it and disassembled it many time including trigger assembly and bolt release mechanism. As seen in video the cartridge latch and shell lifter keep getting interlocked so i have to push them manually, but even if i pull the shell lifter down the bolt release button doesn't seems to work even then . All components seems fine so maybe small springs some other oarts dets deformed.

Have you taken it apart and cleaned all packing oil?
Clean everything and generously lube it. The thick packing oil might be the cause

Yes bud, i did basic disassembly, cleaning and lubing couple times. But recently found a youtube video on disassembling the bolt release mechanism. Will try that and hopefully it will work. Thanks for advise though

Be careful how you are pressing the bolt release, if it does suddenly release you are going to lose a large chunk of skin or a stray finger.

Yeah, it did bit my finger on range when i was trying to shoot some clays. Its a 2hand thing but since i was recording with one had , had to somehow demonstrate the issue with one hand and some luck. Anyway, thanks for your kind advice mate.

Have you cleaned and oiled it yet? They aren't supposed to be run dry out of the factory. That will probably fix your issue, sounds like something got jammed in there.

Thanks for your kind words. I only had aroud 3-400 rounds through shotgun, it was well taken care of cleaned and lubed after almost every use , i did basic disassembly, cleaning and lubing couple times since the issue. But recently found a youtube video on disassembling the bolt release mechanism. Will try that and hopefully it will work.

😅😅 Got it cleaned and lubed then wiped with dry cloth to prevent dust collecting in reciever/action.

Thanks for your kind safety advice brother. I was just trying to demonstrate bolt is stuck because of cartridge latch. It is a 2hand thing where i hold bolt back with one, but had to record while doing it

I had a m77 bolt hanging off the meat of my thumb once, dont need someone else to have the same fun lol.
The bolt release is a fairly simple mechanism. Take the gun apart and see if it jams with no barrel and bolt. If it works, then its just a reassembly thing.

So, basically it is cartridge latch is being held back by reciever port( round carrier ) thing. I have to push it down to free cartridge latch on side and then bolt travels forward. I tried taking bolt release machenism out but the retaining pin seems to be struck and i hit it with a punch so hard that it started deforming, so i decided to leave it and avoid any damage to the part. Waiting to hear back from customer service and hopefully warranty will take care of it. Anyway thanks for your advice friend.

Shotgun is Beretta A300 ultima, but i checked online they said in canada all Beretra customer care and warranty issues are handled by stoeger. So, that's what we got.

lol playing. Personally I would do the basics dissemble it and see if there any issues or missing parts, then oil and reassemble to see if it helped. It doesn’t seem like your pressing very hard tho, could be some build up.

It's probably the plastic on the bolt catch release switch and it can be pryed off and filed down. But if its under warranty and there's a good turn around time on repairs, I'd say send her back.

Bought it last year, i believe its still under warranty. I have mailed stoeger as they handle customer service for Beretta in Canada. I did basic disassembly/cleaning many times since the issue but just found out i can take the bolt release thing out and clean it. If something is pryed off or need filing away, I'll just wait for warranty repair

People out there living some miserable lives and spreading nonsense online. I will take out the cartridge latch tonight. Hopefully cleaning and lubing will fixed it. If not then i have to rely on warranty. Anyway, thanks for your advice and kind words.

Pull the bolt back to take the pressure off the bolt hold release, then press the bolt hold release.
