Buy recommendations Any TR-410 owners out there?

Post image

Curious to know how the TR-410 has performed for those of you that own it? I've heard some say that too much gas gets blown into their face after each shot, others say its not too bad. I might cop one but not too sure.

I’ve got the SR-45, which shoots 45 Colt, 45ACP, and 410. It’s not tactical looking, but it’s a bit more versatile than just shooting 410.

I don’t really notice any gas issues, mine has little plastic gas shields that reduce blowback. I also grew up firing revolvers, so I know where to put my hands and what to expect. Trigger is heavy af, again expected but it is noticeably heavier than most other revolvers I’ve fired.

It’s pretty accurate with 45 ACP and 45 Colt, and I can shoot it at the handgun range which is a plus. Loading 45 ACP is a chore, but it’s cheap.

It’s about as accurate as expected with 410 out of a 9.8” rifled barrel. I’m going to give it a go on grouse this season, should be fun.

Is it possible to remove the wood handguard? Or is it apart of the barrel?

You probably could, but they don’t sell the tactical stock separately to my knowledge. I’m not patient enough to fab one up on my own.

Canuck just came out with their version with different colors too.

Edit: it was in fact not a lower price point

They sold like hot cakes for us. They also launched a 357/38spl version and we have some of them enroute too

.44 Mag and I’m game

44mag in an aluminum revolver… no thanks. I’m worried about the 357 being too much pressure and making the gun blow up in my hands.

It’s called the Canuck Evolve. Unfortunately the price is actually higher so I was mistaken. Usually Canuck stuff is pretty budget friendly but it seems their recent models are over $1k now.

I have the SR410, and I'm rather proud that I figured out the gas.

I did a few things to make it better

  1. Higher sights or a red dot.  The TR410 has this already, my sr410 had a bead sight you'd have to get way up close to.  Up close=more gas, so using these tall folding sights and keeping your head up and back, and you'll get less gas. Same thing with a red dot.

  2. Keep that stock long. The longer the length of pull, the further away the gun, and the less gas.

  3. Take off the right gas shield and keep the left.  Some guns have them on both sides, they block some gas but it still  comes back at you. Taking off the right side let's the gas escape out away from your face and actually us better than having both on.

These three things (plus I wear glasses, so maybe some safety glasses if you have better vision)  and I find the gun decent to shoot. You'll get a bit of gas still, but it ain't bad.

All in all, this is one of my sillier guns but damn is it fun and unique and I wouldn't get rid of it for the world!

I’m waiting for tr-45 micro and I’ll sell my sr-410. What I really want is a tr-9mm micro. I’ve heard people saying it’s too high pressure, which is especially concerning considering people already claim they explode in 410. There are other 9mm revolvers so idk maybe it’s just Turkish hysteria?

They explode?

Some people claim 410 revolving Turkish shotguns are dangerous because theirs exploded.

I like mine

I have one. I quite enjoy it but I do have some notes:

  1. The gas is pretty noticable. I have other "gassy" guns and this is gassier.

  2. It arrived FILTHY. Most guns arrive dirty, but this was something else lol. Not really an "issue" since you should clean it when you receive it anyway, but man they could have at least wiped the outside off with a rag lol.

  3. Don't shoot high powered 3" 000 buckshot out of it. I shot some high powered 3" 000 buck and every shot opened up the cylinder mechanism. Everything else, including some lower powered 2.5" 000 buck was just fine.

I'm happy with my purchase, however there are now other makes of the same thing available, and I would personally look into one that can fire .410 and .45 LC for versatility.

Side note, if you enjoy odd shotguns I'd absolutely recommend looking into a DP-12. It's by far the most fun I've ever had with a shotgun.

oh , it looks nice

How's that cylinder gap shouldering this thing right next to your head?

The hard decision of if I should sell my gimmick mag fed pump to get this gimmick revolver.

1

u/cowboytwenty2 Aug 14 '26

I want both of those haha

That thing looks disgusting. I want one

they can’t see this post due to getting blinded by combustion gases

Honestly, even though I moved to die Burgerreich and have access to revolvers, I find these designs intriguing.

I did get to shoot someone’s Taurus Raging Judge at a range and it was fun, even though it was only loaded with .410 shitshells
