Shooting Ammo Got Taken

Back in June, my friends and I went to a Winnipeg range to shoot skeet. Foolishly we left ammo and range bags on the table outside the club house. When we returned 3 boxes of ammo were gone. We spoke to the range people and was given a box of ammo of different brand.

Also the range allowed people to work down range of an empty stall while we were shooting in the next stall.

Don't think I will return to that range.

Yeah, only place I can think of that matches that description is the trap and skeet club. Which yeah, it's a little bit sketchy being down range on the field next to an active trap field, but not really that dangerous.

People should be shooting up anyway, and target loads don't go that far

Ranges have so many cameras…

You shouldn't ever leave your belongings unattended, regardless of where you are. You can't expect other people to watch your stuff for you. Honestly amazing that the range have you any ammo at all. That's on you. Sucks that someone stole from you, but don't give people the opportunity

some idiot might have thought it was put there by the range to shoot clays.

No excusing them for the theft, but I think it was your foolishness that led to it. What range?

We visited our friend in Winnipeg and he took us there so I don't know the range's name.

So you went to a range, left your ammo and equipment unsupervised, allowed it to be stolen, and tried to get the range to pay for your error? Sounds like someone I wouldnt want to be sharing a range with lmao

Ammo is a regulated thing, you need a pal to get it. You left it sitting around and someone walked off with it without you knowing. Sounds kinda careless. Sounds like your boarding on committing a crime (ccc sec 86).

As you said, lesson learned. Be more careful with your ammo, and don't trust randos to leave your shit alone
