Feets / Collection / My build My 30 cal rifles (well, kinda sorta)
Schmidt Rubin Gewehr 1911 (0.307) & French Tickler (0.310)
I did have to refinish the SKS stock because I accidentally damaged the factory phenolic resin varnish while trying to steam out a dent...ðŸ˜
Will be reloading 7.5x55 in the future cuz it's basically a 308 Win dressed in Sennechutteli with a little bit of more powder.

How smooth is the Bolt on the Schmidt Rubin? I ask because I find straight pulls quite alluring but have only encountered Steyr’s, Ross’ and those new Beretta straight pulls in the wild.

It heavily depends on the inertia of your dominant hand/arm...plus it's supposed to be lubed with grease. Overall it's pretty smooth!

Did steaming out your dents make much of a difference?
