I wish the trail was more accurate.

It's quite accurate, but not with bulk.

My 7.62 will do sub-MOA with Federal Power-Shok or handloads, and the 5.56 will do similar if you feed it heavier rounds. The barrel twist just doesn't stabilize 55 grain well.

Problem is, 55 grain is the most common. It thrives on 62/68/70+ grain hunting or OTM ammo.

I have a 600 Alpha in x39 and it is shockingly accurate with bulk red box Norinco, somehow. It shoots great with basically any ammo, but the difference between red box and brass seems negligible. It actually blows me away how well it shoots that cheap crap. It'll shoot just over 1moa with steel cased pretty consistently, somehow.

I had some 2023 production that turned out to be corrosive though, so Im picky on what red box ill use in it since it shoots so well. None of the 2025 stuff I've run has been corrosive so far.
