Buy recommendations Morisson Lever Action Rifle Mare’s Leg

Hey guys,

Just got my license. Our instructor had a Morrison Mares Leg as our lever action during the class and I loved it. Obviously it brings back a lot of red dead redemption memories lol.

I thought it would be a great first firearm to have. I was thinking about getting the .22 because the price is great. I understand that at around a $600 price tag, I’m gonna be getting $600 quality but I was wondering if anyone had a chance to play around with one yet and what your thoughts were?

For 600 bucks get a henry and have a real piece of the west haha.

I would also say get a Henry for the price point . $550-600 for one . Better to learn the fundamentals with a full stock firearm

I would avoid the Turkish offerings.

Lean towards Marlin or Henry or S&W imo

+1 for anyone who mentions Henry. Their .22 lever guns are 10/10. I have a Henry H1 Frontier and it's always been a favourite. Always goes bang. Looks great. Shoots great.

I love my Morrison iron wolf tm22 if that’s what your talking about. I had a little hiccup with it around 300-400 rounds with light strikes but turned out just the firing pin was gummed up after a good clean it functions flawlessly! And for a 12” barrel pretty good accuracy I’d say

i have a henry 22lr mareleg yet i still cant understand how am i suppose to aim, never brought it to the range before. any tutorials?

My plan if I can find one is to get a henry 22lr mares leg and put a full size stock on it

Sorry for the late reply, may I ask with a full size stock what is the difference between that and getting a normal full sized 22lr Henry
