Feets / Collection / My build Canuck Operator Gen1 with Mesa Urbino stock (+1" LOP)

Had to do a LOT to get this to work (clearly 😂) and I rushed it. Canuck operator buffer tube is an inch longer and isn't circular like a standard Benelli m4 tube.

Yes it's ugly... But it feels great! The standard length of pull felt slightly too short anyways. Found the stock for $130 on gunpost but somehow an actual Benelli buffer tube is a fair bit more than that. Wouldn't have mattered anyways since the trigger group is completely different and it won't mount up to the urbino pistol grip even with a Benelli tube. She's seen 2500 rounds so far.

Idk why google says the Urbino is a direct fit to the Canuck operator because it DEFINITELY is not 😂 it does fit the panzer arms m4 though, which is a much better clone.

Oh, and that's an m8x1.25 bolt from my Jeep holding it in incase this wasn't enough of an abomination as is.

I appreciate it but it's slightly too late ahaha... Also, the standard Canuck operator trigger group is different and juts out, wouldn't have fit the Tactical Urbino grip at all where they meet. Also also, can't be positive the threads are the same in the reciever, the tubes end bolt wasnt.

I was thinking about this same upgrade for my Panzer but with the regular Urbano stock.

Although the length of pull is shorter to accommodate body armor I wonder if there is a novel way to add an inch or two.

The guy I grabbed the stock from had it on his panzer m4 and he said it felt too short. Makes sense if for body armor though I guess, an extra inch is just barely long enough without to be comfortable. I see no way without a big butt pad or cutting it in half and using the canuck grip as a spacer of sorts. Would need some sort of buffer tube spacer as well.

On a side note the panzer is also a fair bit heftier than the canuck and this stock is quite light.

I appreciate the information !

At this point I think the easiest (for my situation) would be to procure the regular wooden stock from EDG.

Looks like a far better choice, if I could find one that's what I'd have gone with. Would be nice to do away with the pistol grip

After looking for them I came up short. But I did find this kit for the 1014. Not sure if it fits without some modifications but I think it might be viable.

Did you confirm if the Urbino fits on the panzer arms m4? I was looking to swap the stock to urbino

I personally didn't confirm it, but the previous owner said it fit perfectly on his. Your panzer arms is a much better clone and the buffer tube is just like the real one so I can't see why it wouldn't fit.

Looks great, good job. On a separate note on the 2500 rounds you put through; have you had any issues with lite/target loads?

None, atleast half that is target shooting clays. I used to have problems with the odd slug till replacing the mag follower with the green delrin from S&J, haven't had issues since.
