Gun and gear reviews KR22 tactical

Post image

Over all decent gun for $300. Straight off the bat I threw in a sbi mag adapter for the rem 597 mags.

Gave me a few stovepipes, but not enough to complain about. Put 100 rounds of norma tac 22 through it, and 100 rounds of blazer.

Anyone removed the extractor from these? The pins seem super tough to remove, I’d just like to go over the extractor a bit.

Got a family member who just picked one of these up. Thing runs like a bolt action. Cant even cycle 2 rounds consecutively. Think its gonna be getting sent back for warranty.

Its a shame, they look awesome and actually feel really solid. Just couldn't get the thing to work at all.

Tried multiple magazines and like 6 different brands of ammo

It likely has the defective firing pin (too short and too flat).

Did you take apart the extractor?

I showed it in the the review I made.

Here's a picture of it, the one on the right is the defective one. It's pretty clear the profile is different.

They did during the initial cleaning. Didn't seem to notice anything obvious

That's actually pretty cool looking. How much of it is 10/22 interchangeable?

4

u/Elbro_16 Aug 06 '26

Nothing is interchangeable with the 10/22

Apparently it doesn’t fit actuall 10/22 mags

works with both my 10/22 mags and my bx25 mags just fine

Yes it does. Ruger BX-25 fits perfectly.

What’s that apparent hinge or pin just forward of the mag well? Is the whole foreend including the barrel easily detached ??

The takedown pin? It has two just like a AR

Dammit that's nice! Where did you pick it up?

Can anyone chime in on how this stacks up against the tm22?  Been trying to decide between the two recently...

I have about 2000rds through my kr22 and honestly.... nothing but issues, can barely run a full mag without a malfunction of some sort, tried many brands of ammo, the best I found works for mine is cci mini mag target, I borrowed a buddy's tm22 last weekend and it was really good, I put 500rds through it and it ate everything, no malfunctions for the entire 500rds, I will be getting a tm22 now after that demo, unless you dont mind clearing malfunctions, get a kr22, if you want something that works, ruger 10/22 with sbi chassis or a tm22

I have one, shoots like a beauty for under $300. Shot 100 Cci mini mag 40gr and had 2 failures to fire. Have heard that quality control has crazy fluctuations tho. If anyone is getting this, definitely get the mag adapter, base mags are shit

You know what I don't actually hate this one. Doesn't look god-awful like the TM 22. Still no room for anything other than a 10/22 in my heart though
