Feets / Collection / My build Mossberg 590 with Magpul furniture, leather cord wrap, and handmade copper buttplate. Class or Ass?

I can't actually feel the screws when I shoulder it, so being a bit proud should be fine I think

If it wasn’t magpul I would say class. Good job on the buttplate…I say that as a machinist.

would you believe me if i told you it was finished using a hacksaw blade with no handle and a file?

Yes I can believe that…years ago my first assignment in trades school was making a Drill Gauge out of some sheet metal with those very tools. A lot can be done with a file.

Now if you distressed the whole thing and made it look like something out of fallout or Mad Max or the Road I would love it.

Just constructive criticism here, but I think the cord wrap could be done a bit better/tighter. Seems like it's almost like there isn't enough material. Or just use paracord.

i didn't want to entirely cover the stock grip with leather cord because i felt like it was wide enough as is, so just a little bit to soften the aggressive texture

I really like the look of magpul SGA stock & forend. I like the way they feel when handling the shotgun. But i cant handle vibe on the felt recoil.. every shotgun i've tried it always seems the recoil is more harder. And more kick-ish, cheek slap..not pleasant to shoot compared to stock furniture or a hogue set.

i haven't had the opportunity to try the magpul furniture under recoil yet, but i mostly got it for the more vertical grip angle. it puts my hand in a far more comfortable position.

i'm also not that bothered by recoil, which is why i pulled the rubber pad off to install a solid copper one lol
