My local CT doesn't even record anything for real ammo. Visual pal check and that's it. For guns they go through the verification,  but they follow the letter of the law and nothing more.

Keep in mind it is my understanding that canadian tire gun sales are separate from CT corporate,  it's up to each individual store owner if and how they participate.

I'm glad they stopped with the ammo log book that was occasionally left out in the open for anyone to peruse.

They still do it (at least in the CTC I was in, in London, Onterrible).

Having never purchased ammo there before, I was unaware that this was the way they recorded it.

When the person working there wanted my RPAL to hand write the info in a binder, that had been sitting on the shelf above the ammo display, completely unsecured and unattended, I opted to take my purchases elsewhere, that practiced better control over access to that info. Would it ever become a problem? Unlikely, but should that binder ever go missing, at least my info isn't in it.

Gobles is the place to go in London anyway, support your local gun store.

I usually buy from Santarosaa's in Rodney.

The handful of times I have gone into Gobles I have felt like I've been interrupting something or I'm an inconvenience to whoever was working. Your mileage may vary, but that's just my experience.
