Misc 10/22 receiver pins stuck as hell
Trying to do some cleaning but unfortunately the two pins holding the trigger group and the bolt stop pin that "should come right out" in every video I've seen... Aren't. Am I doing something wrong or does it need some "gentle persuasion" with a hammer?
And yes I did try cutting around them with a box cutter already, in case the paint made them stick. No luck.

If the punch doesn’t work, try some PB blaster, and as a last resort, a hair dryer. Just don’t overheat that area since the trigger group is plastic. But I never had a pin that would not come out with a hammer… in fact, too often they just fall out 😡
For replacement pins, the TandemKross Receiver Pins with detents is pretty good.

The bolt stop on mine would not budge with a punch and hammer. The trigger pack pins came out with a punch and hammer.
I got the bolt stop out by using a bench vise to force the bolt stop pin out by gradually closing the vise on the bolt stop pin with one of the trigger pack pins and some junked PLA parts as a spacer on the other side.

Especially if it's new, sometimes they need a hammer and a punch. Be gentle, small taps with a larger hammer are generally effective. Be sure to brace the other side with wooden blocks or rollers to avoid marring the table or the bottom of the gun.

When hammering the front and rear sights to remove them, my 10/22's receiver pins fell out multiple times. Most definitely requires gentle persuasion with hammer. If not, punching it out with an allen key or punch works too

Use a punch and hammer. Sometimes they're tight.
