Misc Heat Shield on Benelli R1?

I'm figuring this is something I will have to get custom made since I havent seen anyone weird enough to try it. The Benelli R1 barrel is tapped in 4 spots on the barrel, the muzzle and above the chamber, for adding iron sights. So installation should be easy enough.

The benelli R1 has a light weight barrel, which means after only 6-8 consecutive rounds it is already too hot to hold or touch. My main question is how effective it would be at dissipating the heat, would it make the barre cool down faster?

Edit: I'm also wondering if it will negatively affect barrel harmonics

none of the semi auto hunting rifles were designed to be volume shooters, heat will always be a problem and the complicated gas system makes barrel swaps unrealistic.
