Misc Gave some of the safe some fresh air
Had a nice range sesh blasting clays and slapping steel with my brother. Was able to test by 14” 590 that has been Vang Comp’d against my brothers shockwave with the same stock. Definitely a noticeable difference in recoil. The noise signature didn’t seem much louder, just a different type of report, that being said, hard to tell outside with ear pro on.

Bingo. It’s been very few and far between for me lately. 3 kids and work demands almost all my minutes…

Does porting on the 14” not terrify your hands at all? Asking for a friend.

I was gloveless and didn’t feel any different than shooting my brother’s shockwave, no heat or anything.

I ask, only because I want to do the same to mine. I’m just paranoid my buttery fingers will find their way on top of the ports.

I perceived no difference in that regard between my brothers and my gun, I don’t think your hands would ever get there personally. Your hand would have to fully come off the slide and end up on the top of the barrel, you ever a better chance shooting your hand off then getting burnt imo. I’d recommend it if you want to do it. Casey was very reasonable on price in my opinion as well.
I’d also add mossberg made a vang comp 14” called the beach master, I don’t think would have made it if it had safety liabilities.

It is the Enoch arcane. Got it off Kidds website I believe. This 10/22 is my favourite gun that I’m legally allowed to shoot.
