Application / Regulation advice Exemption in Nova scotia
Can anyone help me to understand how can I qualify for it in NS? I can see other provinces are having this
I have restricted license and want to have 22lr handgun for target shooting. I have gun club membership. Do I need to get black badge course?

Do I need to get black badge course?
That's for IPSC and not how you get an exemption letter.
You will need to get an exemption letter from the SFC. To do this you'll need to demonstrate that you're training or competing in ISSF pistol disciplines. This can be 10m air gun, or you can borrow a pistol and shoot 25m matches if there are any in your area.

Nope, as a start you need an endorsement letter from the Shooting Federation of Canada. To request an Exemption Letter each individual:
Must be a member in good standing of the SFC Must have a RPAL Must be a member of a club Must be able to provide documentation substantiating that they train, compete or coach in a shooting discipline that is on the programme of the International Olympic Committee or the International Paralympic Committee.

Shooting federation of Nova Scotia (SFNS) sanctions provincial ISSF competitions. Might have to look into this myself.

I don’t think NS has its own governing body that can issue exemptions like BC or ON. The club that does the closest thing to ISSF shooting would be Atlantic Marksman in the HRM.
I would love know as well
