Shooting Took to the local range today

Post image

All in all it shot well. Put some Hornady match grade ammo and some Hungarian loads through it. My only issue is that the fibre optic rod on the front sight got loose and fell out. Do I just glue it in or is there an actual fix?

Man that's a tidy range space.

That's why I like to come first when they open. Clean and basically get the range to myself.

Good strategy.

What range is that? And what is the distance? That is a big indoor range

Phoenix in Edmonton. 40 yard rifle range and there's also a pistol range.

Did the staff come running up to you with a magnet?? That happened basically anytime I took mine to the shooting edge in calgary.

Gotta go to Calgary shooting centre instead. Never had an issue using surplus 7.62 there

Well that's the only option now anyway. I moved out of town so I can pump surplus into the hay field all I want. I do wanna try the projection range the shooting centre has.....if that's still a thing.

I don't fault the shooting edge, they were in a tight space that made any possible over penitration of their backstop a extremely dangerous situation. I never had anything to hide so it was no sweat, just amusing how fast they showed up when they caught wind of an sks on range.

No they just asked if I had any steel ammo and I said no and bought some there too.

My God that would be loud indoors.

Honestly? Not as bad as you'd imagine. Mind you my hearing protection is just a cheap pair of 3M muffs from work.
