Is Nine35 safe/trustworthy?

Two things to note for the mods: not fishing for a transaction, and haven’t seen mention of this site on the FAQ and posts of known scam sites (I’m usually good at weeding out fraudulent sites but this one I’m unsure of).

Been looking for a couple of shotgun liners for a SxS to rifle build I’ve been toying with, and while the Chiappa x caliber ones seem promising, it’s hard to find them not in a package of 8 (I only need two of the same, not two entire packs of different ones). Someone told me to look into Chazsel liners, and it seems the only place in Canada to import them is Nine35, a site that was linked in someone’s post here recently.

Just looking to see if anyone has had good experiences with his products and/or if he’s trustworthy to order from? There’s no immediate red flags, outside of EMT being the preferred payment (which I deal with several companies like OMA bullets and Prairie Projectiles that are like this, so it isn’t always a scam)

PS: I’m well aware of the merits (or rather the lack thereof) of a SxS with rifle adapters. This is just a fun build I’m looking to pull off with a damaged SxS I got for cheap off Switzer’s, but have come up somewhat empty on rifle inserts aside from Nine35.

TheShootersbox is an American company that ships to Canada and Sella inserts! I've gotten them for a 410 revolver project. They tend to do only shorter adaptors  though, so may not be what  you are looking for.

No 1st hand experience  with nine35 but it seems to have had a few people order off it without  issue. Seems like it's maybe a small business, likely with not much computer skills. 

Edit:   parts Only canada has some 8 Inch liners, mostly for handgun rounds, plus maybe the ability to order more as well.

What caliber of Insert are you looking for?

I personally dig this idea. Even taking a cut over under feom Intersurplus,  and adding an insert in one barrel and keeping 12ga in the other.  Or grabbing one of those really short Turkish over unders, and adding 2 Inserts to make a fun, short 2 shot gun

Haha, your head is where my head is at, as I’ve cut down a few intersurplus shotguns legally myself. I have a Merkel SxS that I got from auction, but the barrel is dented at 19” (yay for me, I can cut it legally to 18”). Figured since I already have 4 cut down 12 gauges, I would have a couple inserts sleeved into this one for a unique build.

I figured, while the Merkel action can handle higher pressures, I’d start this endeavour with 45 long colt, since the pressures are closer to 12 gauge. Drill it up for a pic rail and add some rifle sights to it, make it into a gimmicky but fun break action PCC.

The reason I wanted chazsel or chiappa x caliber was because the liners could be semi permanently installed unlike the smaller ones that are one shot and then you pull them out and poke the round out with a stick or a dowel. I’ll check parts only Canada and see what they have, thank you! Also, shootersbox has pretty cool .303 to 32ACP liners, may try that for fun

I feel you on the semi permanent, it's kinda what I'm working around on my 410 to 38 special revolver shotgun.  Plan is just to keep the part that holds the shell well polished, while keeping the outside of the insert really tight (maybe even some plumber tape)  So that when you need to reload,  you can do it cowboy action style. Just aim the barrel up and let the empty slide out while the adaptor stays in place.

I think you could make the shooter box ones work  just by using a file so that the extractor misses it, but they still are really short

Tactical imports has rifled Turkish 45acp/45LC if that’s easier than sleeving the chambers. My LGS also has a brand new (also Turkish) .357/38 tactical revolver, fully rifled with AR sights, folding stocks etc. That said, I love ingenuity, and your project sounds awesome! With the Chaszel adapters, an o-ring keeps it in place in the shotgun chambers, maybe a small o-ring for each of your adapters will keep them inside your cylinder better?

My idea too to prevent the extractor from grabbing the inserts is to simply remove the extractor, as most of these shotgun inserts have cutouts to get your fingernail in and dig out the pistol/rifle round

Definitely considered it! They even gave me an option to return mine to them for credit towards a new one (had some cylinder issues)

But I ended up not going that way, saved 400 bucks sticking with the older model, spent 100 on the adaptors so I'm still 300 bucks ahead.   The problem  for me was that 410 slugs aren't that much more expensive than 45lc

However, that 357 revolver  sounds awesome! I wonder if it's a new Canuck model that I heard teased a few months ago! That would be a really fun gun to own. Much cheaper than 410, and much more accurate and likely more powerful  too.

Though I do sort of like 410 as a fun gun for shooting clays as well as slugs

As for my gun, I'm actually using a cylinder that was too small (thus the warranty)  I had dremelled it out a bit, and now I'm going to Dremel it out a bit more until I can force some 45 to 38 special  adaptors  in. The goal is to have it be so tight that they are basically permanent stuck in there.  And then I can switch between that cylinder, and the new warranties 410 cylinder relatively easily. Sadly means it will be smooth bore 38 special  and not super accurate, but I'll use it for fun target practice, and then switch the 410 cylinder if I need to use it for anything more useful 

Edit: I'm actually super curious about that 357 revolver rifle, if you happen to know the name of it!!

I think since I reload, 45LC can be made very cheap, hence why I’m considering it (I have the .410 version but only brought it out a couple times as .410 is fairly rare here. So rare in fact that slugs and buck cannot be found in stores, have to order it online).

Thats great they warrantied the cylinder though! I have a friend who has the first gen model and sent it to DLASK when they offered cylinder reaming because the originals were so damn tight. I love your use of the original tight cylinder using its tightness to your advantage for what’s essentially a permanent .38 sleeve.

I feel silly I didn’t get the name of that .357 rifle while I was there, as I tried looking it up later and couldn’t find it at all (this gun shop, gone fishing in Nanaimo BC always magically has new guns ahead of the curve). It’s in the next town over, so when I do go next time if it’s still there, I’ll send you the name of it! It was about 1399$ iirc and looks similar to the tactical 410 offered last year, all black, pistol grip telescoping stock, AR flip up iron sights. A little goofy to some but I actually thought it had charm
