Buy recommendations Stock options for the Makasi

While very impatiently waiting for the Makasi I've been looking at different stocks since I hate the wire stocks look. Where the hell are we supposed to get stocks from? From what I've read online its sort of a gray area with getting them shipped from the US. And a definite NO NO for going to the US and bringing one back, and I've seen maybe 3 options in Canada total once you remove the airsoft parts from the equation. Can someone clear this up for me?

I have this coming soon, it's a 6-position folding skeletonized buffer tube. Can take any buffer tube buttstocks. I made it specifically in preparation for the Makasi, my SKS upcoming chassis and my homesteader pistol grip adapters.

My man. Excited about that Sks chassis and thanks for all your work to expand the accessory market for the firearms we’ve got available to us 🫡

No worries it's what I'm here for!

As someone with early access you should be extremely excited for the chassis.

this is crazy, im assuming this also attaches straight to a 1913 rail? Or do you need an adapter still

This is the folding mechanism. It comes eith this. Straight to 1913/picatinny. The side with the two screws is where my part screws into via two m6 screws.

Does not come with my daughter's flower drawing sorry

Just let me know how you'd like to be contacted, can pm me here or email me from my site (in profile)

Shipping is almost always Xpresspost, 2-3 days to Ontario and like 4-5 anywhere west of that. I'm in NB.

Any chance that the sks chassis will support mag adapters?

I dunno probably, the magwell is pretty wide open, more wide than the standard wooden stock by a bit. Does the wood stock need to be sanded to fit the adapters?

1

u/Dill_Pickle_Tears Jul 28 '26

I think it depends. I had to sand / carve off some material in the mag well on mine, didn’t take much though, maybe a few mm at most

Would you consider making a handguard for the makasi?

Probably not, apparently the connections are super weird and proprietary. I'd only make one if I was getting the gun myself, which I probably won't be

That is cool! I'm not sure what the tariff going the other way would be, but once you meet Canadian demand Brigade may interested in these adapters for the Makasi, especially as it would allow use of a buffer tube brace for their pistols with the bonus of folding.

Get a 1913 to buffer tube adapter.

2

u/TheGoldShipper Jul 27 '26

Seconded, then you have every ar-15 stock at your disposal

You can search AlmostProhibited.ca and see what 1913 stocks are available on the market at the moment. If your search doesn't come up with something you want, you can also import it from IRunGuns.

I’m doing a Midwest Industries 1913 Buffer Tube adapter, and a Magpul STR stock; got them both from Aztech.
Tempted to find a 1913 adapter for my ACR stock that’s currently on my Bren, but we’ll see how the buffer tube setup goes.

This is the answer. RDSC brings them in periodically, or IRG can inport them one off for you directly.

Honestly.... grab a good quality aluminum airsoft stock.

Folks in the US use them all the time.  Price is 1/3 the price of other stocks.  Gun stocks are an absolute rip off. For milled aluminum and a bit of rubber, companies know they can rip off gun owners.

As for me, I bought a cheap aluminum folding stock made by 5KU. Super solid, no complaints. Next time I'd get one with a bit of a cheek riser or some adjustment.   As far as length of pull  adjustment? I just threw in a Pic Rail Riser. Perfect for adding another inch or two of extra length.

If you want something a bit better than a PDW looking stock though, try a Maple Leaf Machined  aluminum Stock. Adjustable and solid.

Get the IWI if you don't like the Makasi look

3

u/TheArchitechs Jul 27 '26

I love the way the makasi looks other than the stock. I thought i would like the IWI too until i saw a video of a person actually holding it

2

u/Cope180-Enjoyer Jul 27 '26

Nobody likes the IWI look. It's a leftover R&D project they know desperate Canuck copes would eat up. At least it worms tho.

Magpul ucs is good imo

350 before tax and shipping jfc

1

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 Jul 27 '26

Which means its cheaper and better than those ACR stocks that people love. Im very glad to have sold my ACR stock and gotten the UCS and a little bit of cash in my pocket

1

u/TheArchitechs Jul 27 '26

This is one of the options i was considering since RDSC has them. I just wish i could see what it looks like on the makasi first before ordering one lmfao

1

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 Jul 27 '26

See if AI or some photoshop wizards can do this for you lol

1

u/Ustauk Jul 28 '26

This fellow did a shooting video with the Makasi with a UCS stock. The camera is a bit distant, but hopefully it will give you an idea.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/SmHBz4DV4yg

He also has another video comparing the UCS to some other 1913 stocks., using the BRN-180 as the host on that video.

anything you would have slapped on a bren

im going HD adapter / Zhukov,

I think the B5 MPS looks pretty good too

1

u/BertaBeef778 Jul 27 '26

I'll get a 1913 buffer tube adapter, buffer tube, and a magpul ctr probably. That route is cheaper than just getting a Magpul ucs folding stock, I've found most folding stocks to be unnecessarily expensive

Stock options?

Canada is going to make Makasi soooo much popular!

1

u/BATFREEMAN Jul 28 '26

I am personally going to super glue on a wood fal stock

1

u/Ustauk Jul 29 '26

Before losing the FAL stock permanently, WOOX makes a wooden 1913 stock. Range Sports in Calgary has said you could call them to order one in. https://wooxstore.com/products/1913-woody-stock
