Modify the firearm not the magazine, if the stock is whats not allowing the "duck bill" to latch onto the forward magazine "hook" then cut the stock to fit.

Hi op most sks detachable mags require some hand sanding to fit . I marked mine up with a red marker then kept trying to fit them . The areas that the marker rubs away is the areas that have friction and need sanding to fit . I would sand a little bit and re test sand and re test until they fit nice and smooth

I had to shave a mm off the pointy part of the duck bill. Took a couple tries but mine run well. I wouldn’t modify the gun itself, not sure why the other poster recommended that lol.

It was actually very helpful. Shaved off a mm and everything fits snug. Thankyou

If the bolt is stock and closed you can't insert or drop a detachable magazine. There are two "fins" on either side of the bottom of the bolt that need to be ground off if you want to insert or detach a magazine, or just remember to leave the bilt open.

Just use a bit of strength and insert the magazine in on an open bolt, and remove it. You'll see what you'll need to remove for a smoother insertion.

I had the same problem a few months ago. I had to dremel the stock magazine well forward about 0.25cm (or just keep shaving small amounts until it fits). Now fits perfectly.
