Feets / Collection / My build When hard work and patience pay off
Picked up this oriental beauty from a nice dude on gunpost. Met in the Cabela's lot and wow it was even more beautiful in person. Worked my ass off this summer to actually treat myself and am finally satisfied. After debt and bills and just surviving I finally got a nice possession. Guess I joined the SKS club finally.
It's a 71 Type 56 with a nice stock, heat guard, pic rail and a limbsaver pad. Can't wait to take it to the range tomorrow.

Congrats! I’m working on getting my PAL right now so I can get my dad’s guns back from the RCMP. I found him dead at this shop and the someone narc’d about his gun safe and they seized everything.
I’ve always been wanted to be invited to go hunting with him but I could never afford too. I was raised in foster care so it would be nice to have something from my dad.

Thanks man! This rifle means a lot to me, groceries are too much and I need to shoot some this year and have fun while at it too!

Totally understand! I had to sell guns during covid to help pay rent and I sold my SKS I had at the time which was my first gun. Regretted it ever since and finally got another one last summer! Can’t go wrong with the SKS the Ammo is still super affordable!

Same, I sold a Russian in a fab stock for $350 back during covid to make ends meet and damn do I regret it every day! Having to pay double that to get one back is galling.

Some of the nicest wood I've seen on an SKS. Is that original?

That's a laminate stock with a fresh clear coat, not a solid hardwood like you'd see on an earlier model

Beauty! Is that a rubber butt pad? Don't leave it on. Only put it on when you take it out. Learned that one the hard way. 😬

No bayonet?
She's definitely gorgeous. Well done my man.
Have fun, sks' are a blast to shoot.
I bought my French tickler earlier this year and wish I had bought it years ago when 7.62x39 was cheaper and more plentiful! Better late than never eh?

No bayonet. Oh well. Still nice considering the price I got it for and yeah 7.62x39 is my favourite calibre
