Hey, I bought an Adler rf 224 the other day (I am aware it has some mixed reviews, I just wanted a cheap 22 to shoot) I put maybe 20 rounds threw it, and it proceeded to have a bunch of issues, from not extracting the casing properly and then it started just refusing to feed a new round in. It seemed to me like the bolt wasn't coming back far enough to pickup the next round. I took it apart and found the bolt spring wasn't in its seat. I'm just curious what you guys think, to me it looks like the corner of the seat is knocked off , so there's nothing keeping the spring from going to the side. But I didn't find any debris or that chunk that I think is missing. Am I correct in guessing that the seat is broken? Or am I over thinking it? First picture is how I believe it should sit, second one was how I found it, 3rd is with the spring removed. Sorry if this sounds dumb lol, never taken a firearm apart/worked on one before.

The sad thing is these arent even that "cheap" like a base 10/22 and the rf are in the same price range

Last fall I wanted a semi auto 22LR to screw around with a red dot in a 20m. indoor range (and to fit in a dresser drawer). It was 399$ +hst and I was feeling lucky. At 430 to $529 now, they are ridiculously priced.

With its OEM mags it's mint. Sadly rumours of it working with BX mags were mistaken. I have a mitt full of 10/22 mags and was hoping to avoid another magazine ecosystem.

Derya announces 12 and 16" TM-22s a couple of weeks later. I also have a bunch of TM-22 mags as well, naturally.

It runs well on bulk CCI and isn't terribly inaccurate.

Yeah when you said you wanted a cheap 22lr to shoot i was like wait theyre like 450 now thats not even that cheap anymore. Cause the wood 10/22s are like 430-450 depending where ya look.

Being 8 months wiser, 10/22 first choice 100%, and TM-22 if you gotta. Their reputation for working properly out of the box is up and down like a toilet seat. I got lucky there. Mine works great.

I'm curious to see how the plastic receivers are holding up after the Feather's been out for a year and a bit, and they're leaning into the Flash. I don't think shooting through a plastic receiver is a problem. It's repeatedly disassembling and reassembling them. It's so much easier to be ham-handed with plastic stuff.

Im honestly not super impressed with the new derya's. The 16" version was ok but they changed the stock from the ones that o'dell used on their 18" aluminium ones and the new stocks were cheaper and not as nice.

I had mine ripped down yesterday to clean thoroughly.

While repositioning a 10/22 style return shaft/spring and then dropping the bolt back in place correctly is always a challenge, my RF-224 has very definate detents for both ends of the shaft. They'll jump out of place while you're struggling but once I got it, it was firm.

It looks like a chunk is broken out. I might edit after another look at your pictures.

Edit... Tough to tell. Pro tip to reassemble easier.. Remove the ejection blade (two slotted screws). It's easier to clean and much easier to reassemble. Put it back after the bolt is back on the charging handle.

Try using 40gr CCI Minimag. Dumped thousands through mine with factory grease on it and haven’t had an issue.
