Application / Regulation advice Restricted Rifle stuck at CFO Approval
As title. My new restricted rifle arrived in Canada two weeks ago and since then myself and a couple buddies all have not received approval for the transfer by the CFO. We all called and were told this can take several more weeks...
Is there anything that can be done about this? It seems this is only happening in BC as my friends from Alberta and Ontario all got their approval within 2-3 days.
Fyi: we are in BC...

New restricted rifle? What did you buy? Did you make sure it wasn't affected by the recent bans before trying to import it?

Ah, afaik that one hasn't been hit yet. Probably just a delay, if they told you it might be a couple weeks, wait said couple weeks before trying to escalate anything. Never had that happen to me, but I also only ever bought NRs while I was in BC.

It has been not been "hit" yet because it is too new. It is just frustrating the extra wait when the CFO arenr busy atm. Everyone is literally shooting it already after receiving their reg certificate sometime last week...
Edit: read your comment wrong the first time

No, by "hit" I mean by the bans. I'm sure it will be coming, fairly confident the only reason it hasn't been added to the OIC list already is because of the Supreme Court case which may have larger impacts on the OIC in general.

Being hit or not literally has nothing to do with what Im discussing here. Fyi I have been a victim of since 2020 with my ARs.

Same. Mine is in Canada awaiting cfo approval also. I'm in Alberta. I asked in another post if because it's my first restricted if it takes longer? I've had my pal and rpal for about 3 years.
