Sheesh yeah they're getting to over $3k at this point. Managed to snag one at 2800 and its in basically pristine condition.

It’s a rabbit hole we can’t get out of.

Do you shoot them much? Not cheap to plink with

Occasionally I do. 303 Brit surprised me with just how expensive it is, over $3 a round at any of my local gun stores.

GoTenda and such will be the best options with PPU and S&B

The k98 excites the kid in me who grew up playing WW2 shooters. Was it tough to find?

I found my K98 on Gunpost scrolling through the firearms category. It had been posted half an hour prior and I was the first to message the seller. They are out there if you look but sometimes you gotta get lucky to find the right one.

That’s awesome! I’ve heard the most success on gunpost is through postings like that. Congrats!

K98 possible East German rework? Maybe Norwegian?

Ive taken it apart and cant find any stamps or markings indicating east german rework. Numbers on metal parts have been grinded off and restamped to match the reciever and I believe its in a yugoslavian reworked stock.

Additionally the 54 Tula looks to have its stock proof mark, non arsenal refurb?

Yep, all matching non refurb. Still had a bunch of cosmoline inside when I got it.

Nice m96, what’s the story about the number disk missing?

1

u/doglion69 22h ago

Not sure what happened to it, it came with it and the cleaning rod missing.
