I'm inviting the community to share their ideas regarding any changes they'll be making to their Makasi and/or Carmel. Mine happens to be an aftermarket stock.

. I'm not promoting anything here btw, just sharing what I'll be changing. I found the OEM stock's weight unnecessary, the whole thing is made of steel.

The OEM stock is part of the appeal though, the same reason why I’ll be wearing 4” bush shorts while shooting it tarpless. It’s the right arm of the free world.

Tillsonburg has an unreal sale on Bushnell 1-4 AR LPVO right now, so that and I’ll shoot it for a bit before I monkey with it.

Maybe read some Wilbur Smith while sipping whiskey and look at it lovingly?

I really liked the Bushnell R5 1-6x24mm but ended up selling it for more zoomies with my Hawke instead. S&J had a recent clearance sale, I got it for like 250 bucks lol unreal. That Wilbur fella seems interesting, never heard of him before!

First or second review on YouTube can’t get the gun to cycle with out mortaring it every round. Someone posted the other day here saying the charging handle jams into the receiver. Sounds like a paper weight to me

That guy also said Brigade's customer service is fantastic and had good things to say after getting a replacement. Every other review video I watched says it's a great gun including a review from Military Arms Channel who is a very well respected channel in the gun world from what I gather. Believe what you want but from what I've seen the vast majority of users like it

There was also a video just the other day of it being fired without issue (After setting it to the unsuppressed gas setting), and others you can find of the same thing, the gun being fired, reloaded, having the charging handle cycled etc. and not suffering those issues.

I'm sure the people having problems were having real problems, but you have to look at the entire spectrum of reviews.

I think I’m close to changing my pre order from Makasi to Carmel. It’s not that I think they’re bad I just feel safer betting on the other.

Idk if it's always been this way but this sub seriously has a problem. Too many people come off as absolutely miserable. People hardly even addresses the OP they sort of just comment some random loser thing about how much something sucks.
