Buy recommendations Looking for a Short Barrel 22lr. Recommendations?

It's been a decade+ with my 20 inch bolt action 22lr. After having a taste of smaller firearms, I'm looking for suggestions for a short barrel, compact 22lr rifle.

What's everyone's suggestions?? Of course I think of a ruger 10/22, but what company makes good short barrels for them? What other rifles fill the same role without needing to buy both a gun and a barrel?

While I'm mainly looking for a semi auto, I'd certainly be curious to see what short barrel manual actions are also out there.

Thanks r/canadaguns!

Will add that to the list! Magazine looks a Lil odd to me, but the rest of the package looks good

A short barrel 10/22 will cost at least $1K-$2K+, the Derya is the best bang for the buck.

As for barrels, Kidd Bull Barrels are the best in my experience. Volquartsen has good barrels too - I really like the VF9 barrel. TandemKross has slick-looking pencil barrels with an MLOK bull sleeve. I also have a TK Comet barrel.

Faxon, Green Mountain, Shaw, and Accu-Barrel are for cheaper barrels. I wasn’t really happy with Faxon or GM. SBI has longer barrels.

Dlask has great 12” barrels, I think he’s closed but Hi Caliber in mission bought a lot, if not all, of the inventory, u might try calling them if you go the 10/22 route.

I recently purchased the Specter Ballistics ST-22 which I believe has a 12” option, no complaints on the accuracy on my 16” so far, believe they are match grade barrels in the precision series.

Get a ruger 1022 takedown, find a short barrel, like an 8 inch, throw a muzzle device and you’ll have a 26 inch super reliable, easy to store 22lr. Throw a Magpul backpacker stock on it with a Midwest industries mlok forend and you’ll have a seriously capable little rifle

And if you can’t find barrels in stock in Canada check aztec armoury, they have a bunch, could probably find a short 1022 barrel for not to much

I have a Ruger 10/22 with a ten inch barrel. It is a great rifle.

Another vote for the TM22 Pro. It’s overall a pretty solid package and shoots well out of the box in terms of tactile feedback. I’ve never really enjoyed the 10/22 even though it’s so popular. An out of the box 10/22 feels meh and you end up having to buy upgrades to have it shoot nicely.
