TNA mag adapter- worth it?

Title says it all. Is it worth the money and effort or is it too much work for the results you get? I'm thinking about buying one but looking more into it and learning that you have to modify even the magazines it's beginning to look less and less appealing. Maybe someone here that's installed and used one can change my mind?

It's a good amount of work, but 10 is one hundred percent more than 5

No, it is 100% more. 50% more of 5 would be 2.5 rounds. So 2.5 x 2 = 100%

I don't think you need to modify the magazines. But yeah the receiver and the bolt need milling.

I have installed in a project SKS with the receiver modified. Without the bolt assembly in, my 10rnd XCR-L mags lock in and fit quite nicely. Just need to get around to modding the bolt.

According to TNA the Gen 2 adapter requires you to modify your mags, which honestly if true I'm not overly excited about

I don’t have experience with the TNA, I paid hical money when hical was the only option. But I did have to file the back of the mag(s) so the bolt would clear it, took all of 5 seconds with the dremel.

Personally I had nothing but trouble with the factory mags and pro mags on my sks, I’ve since had zero malfunctions. And considering 1 of my factory mags was pinned at 4 rounds, 10 is much better.

it works, but the 3d printed ones are not very durable. i broke mine somehow and had to make a feed strip on the backside..
