Shitpost / Memes POV: Finds number matching rare SKS in pristine condition.
If I keep the original stock aside, does it still count as Bubba'd?

Doesn’t count if it’s reversible. But modifying the bolt hold open and receiver for detachable mags or the mag adapter counts though lol

What about drill & tap for scope mount?

My understanding is that any permanent modification of a firearm with collectible or historical value is considered bubbafication haha

Bubba is not the end of the world

Agreed - I’m pro bubba as long as it’s a shooter not a collector

I'm pro bubba to encourage destruction of other pristine rifles.
I'll keep a few safe queens, let people drill and tap their way to the point at which there isn't anything pristine left on the market. Profit.

If you can undo your sin within a half hour then it was never a sin to begin with.

Nice. Tad nit picky but I’m not a fan of how the archangel stocks look. For me it just the argos on the wood stock make it uncomfortable to shoot, the length of pull is way too short

They are a classic commercial product, good or not it is something you'll encounter in the wild for decades to come.

Yes, it's still considered as Bubba'ed (action) because bubba-ing is an action. But a reversible Bubba is ontologically still pure.

Choate. Lighter, tighter, cheap and quick to install. Downside is they aren't particularly tactical or add any attachment mounting options. They are basically what an sks stock would be from the factory if the sks was released today.

I just super bubbaed my French Tickler with a Crooked Customs Phantom SKS chassis, and part of me sort of regrets it.
It's 99% reversible, although I drilled the handguard pin hole too big, but in the future it's probably repairable with a larger pin or some welding.
I posted a short review on the Crooked Customs' Phantom Chassis here:
No photos yet, I'm still working out a few last pieces.

As long as its not ATI. Those stocks are garbage. Took mine off and swapped back to wood (bought it in the ATI). I still have a rail ane 5/20rd mag on it for a semi tacticool look, and much prefer it to the ATI stock.
Tapco actually makes some nice laminated wood SKS stocks too (under the brand Timbersmith or something), that actually look fantastic. Im considering getting one if I ever want to swap again
