I'm pretty sure this is the Restricted version. A store in Toronto told me they were expecting a shipment last Friday/Monday.

No ETA on the Unrestricted one yet except for "August".

I believe NR and R have different distributors?

I'm very happy for everyone getting one of these and I'm sure they will be absolutely fantastic rifles, but they look like cheap plastic airsoft guns. Also I'm absolutely flabbergasted at the fact that some of you will be able to hold up 2 basically same gun in each hand and 1 will be banned and the other not.

I’ve got a Makasi pre ordered but I think I’m gonna go for one of these instead. I know it’s gonna look a little goofier with the longer NR barrel, someone will make a reverse fake can for it if there isn’t one that’ll fit already to help with the proportions

The 16" version is the minimum barrel length for the US market to avoid needing to register it with the AFT; but is restricted in Canada so has much lower market appeal

There is also possibility of longer aftermarket hand guards which would make it look less goofy with long barrel.

There was a restricted 16" Makasi up on GP about 2 months ago for $3500. What a joke. I personally would not even want the restricted model under this government.  2.5" shorter barrel in exchange for registering and being restricted to only using it at ranges? No thanks. Ill take 18.5", no registration, $1000 less, and be able to use it on crown and private land
