It looks alright to me. Personally I don’t like the fake mag sleeves but it’s a bit of whatever.

It’s not that the factory mags are so amazing but they are correct and appropriate for the platform. If you’re insecure about shooting .22LR then like, don’t shoot it at all. I love the derya magazines for their technical design.

I don't think anyone is insecure. They just don't like the look of the small mags that have terrible handling on reloads. I don't think anyone would say anything about the length of the mags if we had these.

Yeah 717luxx explained the issue people have with it is not the length but the width and fitment into the gun. Makes sense.

Agreed, neither option looks good on this gun but the factory mags are downright goofy looking. If someone made a pmag style sleeve that was 3/4 sized it would look far better proportionally to the rest of it

Then you would have a tiny little pmag that looks like it got some voodoo cast on it.

This TBH. They look fun imho too, but thats just a bonus on top of no longer having having to use three points of contact between 2 hands to peel out the stupid tiny little block mag from the well.

I posted a pic of the s&w m&p 15-22 and the mag is bigger than the receiver. I assume that's what Tommy was using as an example. I don't like how long they are as well but the sleeves do make reloads much better. Matattack has better, shorter sleeves.

it's not the height that's the issue. the front of the mag is literally outside the magwell. its longer (front to back) and as wide (side to side) than the receiver. that makes it look so stupid.

the m&p 15-22 has the appropriate sized magwell to hold the magazine. because the whole magazine is that big. its ar platform, needs ar sized mags. the silly mag sleeves are just dumb.

Fake can would finish it off nicely. TNA is probably your best bet.

If you want a fake can that actually has some functionality, TNA has some that are flash hiders so that’s one option. If price is your main concern I feel like Tommy’s are probably the most economical and I don’t think you’ll have to worry about durability issues like some people have had with some of his other products.

What in the world did OP change so much to his tm22 that makes it look like an sbr?

The last ban happened March 2025. If they wanted to ban the tm22 they have all the opportunity in the world in the past year+. If they wanted to ban the sks, they more than had opportunities to do that. You're probably one of those guys who complains about bans when people say they are buying the makasi or Carmel.

People want to enjoy their guns without Debbie Downers like you always rolling in with ban talk. Don't YOU get tired of the same speech over and over again?
