Buy recommendations QUESTION - MRA RENEGADE AMMO (16" barrel - 5.56/2.23)

My Renegade is on the way and I'm looking for suggestion for ammo.

I went to the local Bass Pro and the lady behind the counter said she wasn't able to talk to me about the Renegade because they didn't sell it.

I know to stay away from steel ammo. Is there any bulk people recommend?
This is my first rifle, so I still have some learning to do when it comes to ammo.

pmc bronze .223 runs just fine in it but supply issues has made stock scarce/ everyone who ordered a Makasi / Carmel is scooping up whatever they can get their hands on. (myself included)

I usually just run Winchester m855 through mine, but my range is rated up to .50 so that might be an issue depending on where you shoot.

My renegade took about 4-500 rounds to really break in and feel buttery, but runs just fine out the box.

Id swap out the stock when it arrives, the factory stock/grip aint great.

both come in bulk packs of 200

My renegade loves the pmc 5.56 ammo from battle packs. Pretty cheap overall too if you buy in 200+ quantities. Just remember to let the bolt close on its own. If you keep your hand on the bolt handle while it closes it might not fully close and will not go boom. So pull it back and let it go, it has to mimic the semi-auto action. If you try to help it close like a bolt action or just keep you hand on it, it will slow it down a tiny bit and might not fully close. So pull back and fully let go, let it "slam" hard, won't break anything, it is how it is designed to be operated!

Mine eats anything I've put in it and never had a light strike.

PMC bronze is my go to, but I've gone through a few thousand rounds and never had an issue

Mine definitely didnt like steel case. Caused sticky extractions. Cycled PMC Bronze flawlessly and with acceptable accuracy (2moa).

As others have said, I like PMC bronze 223 the most. It shoots really well in my Savage 110 with a 1:9 twist, for bulk cheap ammo, and shoot well in my Backland Hunt Comp with 1:7.

I also like the 62gr M855 but it is steel core and most ranges won't allow it, and its getting pretty dry to shoot steel core ammo in the woods. The 55gr 5.56 PMC stuff is decent too and non steel cored, but I do find the PMC 223 slightly more accurate in my rifles.

Steel cared stuff can be fine and actually half decent. My Mossberg MVP Patrol shot steel cases 62gr Barnaul shockingly well.
