Feets / Collection / My build Bubba got a hold of an 1873.

Borderline my most ghetto work so far haha. But also seems pretty promising (This is a " proof of concept " setup). A non permanent RMR mount for the Uberti 1873 lever actions. Installed a cheap Osight bought off Amazon with the goal of having a 50m zero on the dot (3moa), and a crude 100m hold over on the bottom ring (32moa ring).

Thanks I hate it. I love my 1873, and always thought a peep sight was about as good as optic choices could get.

If not this, then a tang peep is what I was going to install.

I mean not really, it comes drilled and tapped from the factory… all you’re doing is adding a rail

I wonder if it’d be possible to remove the dust cover and use it’s rail for a mounting point?

I think its doable. But doubt that it would be a consistent fit between rifles as a commercial product. Purchaser would have to file something. Where as the side mount is a potential screw on and play.

Such a peice of art before you do anything to it ? Mines a Uberti Henry 1860 brass boy but I love it. The miraku/winchester 1873 I have thou knocks it out of the water

I dont hate it. I think of putting a Primary Arms SLX x3 or x1 prism optic to a Henry I have. I have an old scope chief on it currently, but for the hunting I do, I could pass with a fixed power x3 for 200 yards and in hunting.
