Firearms on BC ferries??? Need to declare??

Hi. I am going on a hunting trip from prince rupert to skidegate on bc ferries.

Is there a need to declare my firearms as "dangerous goods" when buying my ticket?

This seems like such a hassle and heard from people that they don't even care/check.

Any advice would be great. Thanks!

if it's in your vehicle you're all good, your pal is all the approval you need.

if you're walking on though, that's where it gets a bit more complicated
