Shooting For anyone interested in joining a range in the Greater Toronto Area.
Just saw my gun range put this up next to the entrance. The club is always taking in new members and now you don't even need to have an RPAL anymore but I would still encourage getting it if you haven't.

I just joined 2 weeks ago. I still have to do my probation observations though 😅
Seems like a great group of people

Never going back to that shithole and their politics. Guess Im not the only one if they are looking for members.

The safety course is long and is basically a PAL / RPAL refresher and they take safety violations very seriously.
Maybe comment OP is similar to those who critique the place on CGN and doesn’t like being called out for doing dangerous or disruptive stuff.
Or maybe doesn’t like the community of the club?

basically a PAL / RPAL refresher
nope, you have to put twenty holes in the paper
with a pistol and revolveryou never load or fire a gun in the rPAL course

Yep that is true. That’s less of what I meant and was referring to the handling exercises etc

Commentor is probably a bot given that it was one of the first comments on this post and the fact that no follow up has been given. Also, the grammar of the comment smells like a bot too.

What are their politics? I was a little annoyed with my gun club not pledging to ban police forces from using our range if they participated in the confiscation.

I like the range, and it’s great that it’s 24hours, people are lovely, but the number of disciplines they run make shooting on weekdays almost impossible unless you’re retired. Even Saturday / Sunday (one of the two, not both) has disciplines at night, so if you want to bring guests, you have like a 5 hour window on Saturday and all afternoon + evening Sunday. Every few weeks or so that Saturday slot is closed too due to member safety course. Trying to bring guests shooting there is like planning a month out.
Otherwise, other than the insane traffic on QEW / 401 getting there (regularly going from Allen Road & Shepherd takes me around 1h45), great club.

https://www.rangeburlington.ca/become-a-member.php
The reason for the "This club is for Members Only"
is because we get quite a few tourists that just want to shoot for an hour
we are volunteers only, not a commercial range
p.s. members can bring a guest for a small fee
