Buy recommendations Anyone own a Desert tech SRS-A2?

Ive been thinking of picking one up in .300 WM, the price tag is the only thing making me doubt it. I think they are the coolest looking bolt actions around. Anyone get to handle one?

I already have a reliable bolt action, the reason Id pick this one up is fun factor, and for a good dedicated LR rifle.

Awesome gun but I realistically have no reason to own it. If you have a decent spot to shoot long range definitely makes sense.

What caliber do you have it in? Any scope suggestions? I was thinking a vortex viper SFP 5-25

I think 300WM is a dumb caliber for longrange. I would also get an FFP scope instead of SFP

I'm here to have a fun time, not meta game my hobby. .300 WM is fun for me.

Well you did mention "a good dedicated LR rifle". I just think that's not a good choice of caliber but it's your choice at the end of the day. It just doesn't have much long range benefit over other similar calibers these days imo. If you want to stick with the whole "fun time" thing, why not just go 338LM?

For scope suggestions btw, I would suggest looking, at the very least, at the:

  • Vortex Venom 5-25 or Strike Eagle 5-25
  • Bushnell Match Pro and Match Pro ED
  • Athlon Midas, Ares or Cronus series (if you can somehow find a decent deal on any of them here)
