I have also looked into this fellows reviews and in his last 50 reviews ive noticed that 80% of them are from New Members with only 1 feedback, you have to wonder if they are fake accounts that are being made to boost his trader rating up higher

I could go post my jw15 (cheap 22) for 15k of i wanted. Doesn't make it worth that or mean someone will buy it

I really wish I could block this guys ads to stop him from tarnishing my habitual scrolling he’s gotta be single handedly keeping the lights on at gunpost 🫡

Yikes!!! I just checked his profile, and its likely this loser is the guy clearing out all the stock on Marlin 1894’s lol. But hey if you’re dumb enough to pay his over inflated prices I guess you get what you deserve.

People can ask whatever they want for something. Doesn't mean anyone will pay it.

No that isn't overpriced it would only be worth 4k without the mad pig stickers those stickers add 5k to its value instantly

We have a guy in Nanaimo. that does that on town post super annoying. he’s been getting desperate and lowering his prices. If people just didn’t buy them people would stop doing this. after selling for a break even or loss?

Gunpost admins and CGN really need to find a way to combat scalpers and the "I know what I got sonny crowd".

Nothing is going to happen unfortunately, as these guys always pay to boost their ads to the top of the category and onto the front page.

What do you think should happen?

The problem is that this guy is artificially inflating prices by buying up all the stock, and scalping potential new shooters. Hella scummy if you ask me. I looked at some of his listing and he’s got $1800 lever guns up for like 3k plus

u/Bohdyboy 11d ago
Ok.. so let's say you're right and he's bought up " all the stock"... I'm not sure what that even means in this case... but he's got a few hundred thousand tied up in all this stock if that's true, if not a million?
If no one pays him, he's got to lower the price, or sit on the guns and eat the cost.
You think the admins on those sites should get involved in setting what you can charge for your guns?

New rules of where you cannot inflate the price way above market value.

u/Bohdyboy 11d ago
.... so who decides MARKET VALUE, if not the market?
How is this any different than the 1000 dollar sks's everyone is buying now? They were regularly 259 dollars in quite recent memory. Often with some ammo.
If you don't like his price, and enough other people don't like his price, he'll have to lower it, and that means you were right. He was over what the market ( buyers) value was.
If he sells a few, that means he priced it correctly, for those buyers.
There are plenty of things i think aren't worth what people pay for them. That doesn't mean the sellers should need to lower their price to match my expectations3
u/Bohdyboy 11d ago
Why should they get involved?
If its too much, it won't sell.
Its a really simple system

The lever gun market on gunpost escapes me, every other market you will find decent deals but for some reason with lever guns, the people all have them posted at or above MSRP.
I think there were a tonne of people who hoarded lever guns when Ruger bought Marlin and many are still trying to sell them for a profit.

I mean to build that would bee cheap because the parts are expensive and it wasn't a cheap gun to begin with.
I swear the barrels on these were chopped as part of the customization so I never thought I would see them sold in canada.

Some dude pissed me off with his scalping price. 1500 for an upper. So I told him 500. He told me off so I reported the ad

The raven upper? “He told me off so I reported the ad” how emotionally stable and intelligent of you lmao

u/thecoolernameistaken 9d ago
I mean if dude wasn’t a dick I wouldn’t have reported. If you think being emotionally unstable is reporting an ad you need to go outside

u/InspectorCivil6220 9d ago
Reporting an ad because you didn’t like that someone took offense to offering them a 3rd of their asking price is really lame. Grow up you absolute mong :)
