Application / Regulation advice ATC requirements for dispatch firearms

Hey all im in the process of getting my Resident fur management license (so far signed up for a class) and was told I could try to go for a ATC for dispatch firearms. Buddy of mine has a coyote problem and so I will be trapping on approximately 600 acres of land, mostly brush. Has anyone gone through the process of acquiring an ATC for dispatch purposes because while my 3030 is light, I don't want to implode the poor yote or disturb his horses and neighbors. I do understand my chances are near to none on obtaining one but i still want to try.any info on what the process entails, proficiency tests, blah blah would be greatly appreciated. For reference im in Alberta and have my rpal.

I think you got the hard part out of the way based on the info with silver core (I’m looking into getting my trappers license as well in ON). Seems like finding a trappers education course as well as someone to administer the P.O.P testing are the hardest parts.

I’d recommend you start with the silver core ATC guide (they give them out for free) as well as their podcast. It’s a non standardized, and fairly obscure process so there isn’t a lot of info
